Our client is a well established Medical Devices company, they are looking for a Database specialist (MSSQL)- APAC with solid data migration experience to join their team in Hong Kong. 

Role Responsibilities

• Provide production database support with specific focus on availability, capacity, performance, security, and recover ability
• Perform database installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, health checks, backups and recovery, and change management activities in accordance with documented standards
• Participate in production support rotation coverage
• Provide on-going performance tuning tasks in database environments
• Work as a member of a DBA team responsible for maintaining database stability as well as providing physical support for vendor/user-maintained applications
• Assist IT management with administrative policies and procedures related to technical problem resolution and priority management that relate to system support and maintenance
• Recommend changes to database design to improve process throughput and ensure performance

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience administering MS SQL Server Database Systems in a production environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in the installation and administration of DBMS systems and related patching
• Experience in database tuning and project support
• Experience in database server upgrades and migrations
• Experience in troubleshooting database stored procedures
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders, end-users, as well as technical teams
• Has worked independently with little or no direct supervision
