Job Description

Objectives & Key Responsibilities
 
HKSTP is devoted to driving the development of a vibrant I&T ecosystem in Hong Kong. In view of the rapid expansion & continuous growth of the Corporation, we are looking for a seasoned candidate to drive the technology commercialization projects & collaborations with global leading universities & research institutes. He/she is expected to take key responsibilities outlined below:-

  • Enable more interactions among academia, industries, park companies and university students to nurture entrepreneurship, drive commercialization of R&D technology projects and bring about commercial partnerships between these stakeholders
  • Support a solid linkage between university and industry in terms of talent training, placement and talent pipelines for future R&D activities
  • Build and maintain good relationships with industry leaders, universities, institutions, start-up communities, incubators, government authorities, etc.
  • Keep abreast of technology trends & other market intelligence and transform them into business opportunities
  • Coordinate the marketing activities including delegation visits to promote HKSP as an innovation and technology hub
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the management

 
Requirements

  • Holder of university degree preferably in Engineering- or Science-related subjects
  • 6 - 8 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with less experience will be considered for a lower position
  • Experienced in technology transfer / commercialization in any of the following areas will be a definite advantage – Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Healthcare, Smart City, Fintech or Advanced Materials Manufacturing
  • Some network with academia of Engineering, Science or Technology disciplines, industries and high-tech companies
  • Knowledgeable about intellectual properties, technology transfer, technology licensing, patent landscape, industry technology trends, government policies and incentives for I&T development
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Personal attributes: versatile and dynamic, mature and entrepreneurial flair with excellent interpersonal & influencing skills; passionate with can-do attitude;
