The Job:

• Oversee the entire development process of new QC and characterization method, from initial planning phase, method verification and method implementation
• Lead a team in verifying and validating the QC testing methods based on international guidelines and enhancing the test quality on the existing testing methods
• Responsible for planning and executing the technology transfer of QC method to manufacturing sites and providing the on-site training if necessary
• Work with other internal parties to resolve the technical issues related to QC testing
• Participate in the production and evaluation of in-house reference materials for QC method validation purposes
• Participate in stability-indicating studies on raw materials and drug products for quality enhancement
• Execute ad-hoc assigned by senior management

The Person:

• PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Life Science or equivalent discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with R&D and scientific research in protein field
• Knowledgeable in broad range of biochemical techniques including PAGE, Western Blot, ELISA, FPLC, HPLC, florescence and confocal spectroscopy and endotoxin test etc
• Experience in mass spectrometry is highly desirable
• Must have experience doing hands-on biochemical testing and method development
• Sound knowledge on ICH, FDA and EMA guidelines and also Pharmacopoeias of different countries
• Must have demonstrated experience with managing a team
• Must be able to think independently and creatively
• Must have strong problem-solving aptitude, with a desire to conduct experiments and do “hands-on” work
• Must have a sense of urgency to meet the timelines
• Must be able to work collaboratively within a large team and interact effectively with internal and external parties
• Travelling to PRC and oversea as stationing for a short period may be required
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Manager
• Immediately available is preferable
