In Sourcing, you’ll apply your apparel and accessories and/or home goods expertise to promote and apply responsible sourcing practices while driving the success and growth of Target’s owned brands. The Sourcing team starts at the very earliest stages of product development, builds out the costing models and tracks where product stands at every step in the production cycle, from overseas shipping to our import warehouses, distribution centers and stores.

And since Target is indeed a global company, you’ll be part of the team that manages global relationships in partnership with the buying team who shop for trends all over the world. Your ability to stay aware of our suppliers’ activities will help ensure compliance with responsible practices, and you’ll have influence over which manufacturers Target chooses to work with. You’ll be a close point-of-contact with Target team members in sourcing offices located in 20 countries around the globe, and you’ll support their work as liaisons among buyers, product developers and overseas partners.

As a Senior Responsible Sourcing Analyst, you will be part of the team that drives the evolution of the responsible sourcing oversight function that allows us to be a progressive force for good and you will:

  • Mentor and develop technology, data integration and analysis with other team members
  • Make recommendation and influences partners using storytelling after interpreting and synthesizing data
  • Analyze and interpret human rights and environmental data across the supply chain, departments, programs, countries, vendors and factories to inform and influence business decisions within responsible sourcing and across our global supply chain
  • Build and integrate systems data to enable statistical analysis, credible reporting, and real time business intelligence for responsible sourcing and supply chain management and governance
  • Develop visualizations to enable operational review to drive supply chain improvements, and enable compliance to national and local law
  • Develop expertise with enterprise databases, user interfaces, advanced excel and database functions
  • Build partnerships both internally and externally to drive credibility and transparency to the responsible sourcing program including defining and developing KPIs, monitoring initiative progress, impact analysis and validating public reporting
  • Build relationships both internally and externally to accelerate positive impact for people across the globe, enable sustainable business growth, be a catalyst for change and inspire others to do more

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • 5 years or above of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) with the ability to translate complex concepts into simple, clear communications and scenario building
  • Strategic and conceptual thinking with the ability to plan, organize and execute.
  • Understanding of how to interpret data to make decisions and build stories that influence action and drive result
  • Respects, appreciates and is curious about differences related to working with others; committed to fostering an inclusive team
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
