DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Negotiate and communicate with strategic partners for contract and cost negotiation
• Identify and develop effective and reliable procurement strategies, cost reduction and new vendors development activities
• Lead a team of subordinates for quotation and order follow up
• Evaluate suppliers’ performance, supply chain flow, market research and value engineering 
• Analyze current process and improvement
• Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability 
• Responsible for the purchasing function of raw materials for manufacturing operation
• Ensure on time delivery materials according to MPS
• Design and implement programs and projects to achieve cost reduction, high-level price settlement, inventory control and delivery improvement
• Review procurement activities and ensure the procurement operations are transparent and auditable
• Review and optimize company procurement activities and compliance and established policies and procedures
• Analyze information to assess root cause of procurement and improvement opportunities
• Assist the COO on purchasing process, policy formulation and ad hoc assignments

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Min. 8~10 years solid experience in procurement / purchasing with 3~5 years in managerial level at electronics industry
• Must have solid experience in purchasing field of electronic parts, mechanical parts, raw materials of metal & plastic manufacturing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, well organized in purchasing & vendors management.
• Excellent in price negotiation with proven track records, both domestic and abroad
• Familiar with USA, Europe, and domestic electronics parts suppliers
• Have good sourcing network with component suppliers, vendors & factories
• Responsible for purchasing management and vendor evaluation
• Excellent communication, analytical and leadership skills are required
• High level negotiation & communication skills for cost & sourcing of product development
• Good team player with good analytical and strong problem-solving skills, result-oriented and mature 
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua
• Station 5 days in PRC factory at Dongguan is required, occasional travel to overseas is also needed
• Familiar with PMC and ERP system, SAP preferred
• Good computer literacies (MS Office, Excel, Power point etc.) 

Education and Experience Required:

• Degree or Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines
• At least 10 years’ experience in managing EMS purchasing function
• Experience in formulating procurement strategy
• Experience in price negotiation and cost reduction skill
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, independent, self-motivated, creative, innovative and responsible
• Immediate available or with short notice is preferable
