We are now looking for a Technical Manager - Near Food to manage independantly the technical aspects of Near Food including but not limited to Household, Personal Care projects and supporting the development of the internal Quality Management System (QMS). 

 

Main Responsibilities 

•       Manage the supplier onboarding and revison process by collecting, reviewing and maintaining related technical documentation and performing site visits when necessary;

•       Preparing technical specifications for developed HPC (Household and Personal Care) products;

•       Assist artwork development process by providing technical/legal advice on label/packaging design for HPC items;

•       Finalise testing protocols aimed to verify legal compliance of the developed items in the selling markets (EU, US).

•       Coordinating sampling and testing process with parties involved (e.g. external lab, inspector);

•       Prepare inspection protocols based on agreed technical specifications and organise/coordinate pre-shipment inspections. Organise and perform internal quality checks on products and packaging when needed;

•       Managing product complaints by liaising with relevant parties (e.g. customer, supplier, external lab) in order to finalise internal investigation reports within given deadlines;

•       Promote and drive continuos quality improvement by actively supporting the development of the internal QMS.

Requirements 

•       Degree holder in related discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Engeneering);

•       Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance. Previous exposure with EU and US markets is an advantage;

•       Technical expertise in HPC items: Household (e.g. aluminum foil, cling film, plastic bags, wiping cloths, disposable gloves etc.) and Personal Care (e.g. toothbrushes). Experience with food contact materials is an advantage.

•       Proven project management skills with ability to work indipendently through tight deadlines by coordinating multiple stakeholders;

•       Detail orientated

•       High degree of work ethics and integrity

•       A can-do attitude is a must

•       Proficiency in Mandarin, English and Cantonese, both spoken and written

•       PC knowledge is essential

•       Travel is required (20% max.)
