• The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:
• Responsible to report and analyse merchandising trends and marketability, while developing key plans to improve performance for Asian region
• Work closely with purchasing team of Lidl / German office for new development, costing and provide new market info
• Oversee supervisors and merchandising team to ensure procedures and standards are being executed to company standards
• Monitor and make recommendations regarding sales, delivery and merchandising service levels in the retail market place
• Interview and hiring
• Maintain appropriate levels of merchandising team to meet budget as well as customer service requirements
• Work with merchandising team on a continual basis to train, support and evaluate needs
• Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team orientated relationships with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and team member
• Frequent travel to PRC and Germany for new development, souring and factory evaluation

Requirements:

• University graduate in Business Administration or related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years merchandising experience in Hardgoods
• Strong leadership, supervisory and motivation skills
• Excellent communication, inter personal, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Proactive and able to work independently and under pressure
• Fluent in written and spoken English
