Responsibilities:

• Arrange and follow up with customers and vendors on orders, product development, sourcing, preparation of samples, production management and control
• Coordinate with vendors to maintain production schedules and ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
• Enhance long-term business relationships with customers to maximise business growth and opportunities
• Maintain and build strong long-term business relationships with manufacturers for product development and production
• Be up-to-date with market trends of products and coordinate accordingly with vendors to respond to customer briefs and their strategic requirements
• Work closely and communicate effectively with other departments such as design and shipping
• Communicate with and prepare meetings with vendors for customers
• Ensure smooth running of the whole merchandising process, from vendor sourcing, product development to product delivery
• Follow up with vendors, colleagues and customers on orders and in order process activities
• Adept with and apply strategic know-how and design thinking in business development and customer presentations, supply chain risk management, portfolio management and optimisation of factory base

Requirements:

• Experience in related items
• Higher diploma or above
• 3-5 years of merchandising experience for the global market
• Strong experience in liaison with overseas customers
• Independently work with factory and customers on follow up work
• Strong negotiation, planning and organization skills and able to follow up details closely
• Proactive, with excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Aggressive, willing to learn and can work under pressure
• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Travel is required
