Job Description

Our client is a leading Insurance company with a very strong reputation and brand within Life Insurance sector. With the expansion in APAC, in order to cope with the rapid expansion, they are now looking for an AVP to join their Strategy Development team, directly report to the APAC President.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for business strategy design and business cases development on strategic initiatives and propositions by working collaboratively with President and cross-Function Heads in managing the planning process for business cases, provide value-added insights and strategic supports in execution of the business plans.
  • Responsible for identifying business opportunities and implementing continuous improvement with respect to the processes, controls and performance reporting as a result from daily financial analysis.
  • Manage the drive development and evaluation of annual and long-term strategic business plans with in-depth understanding of business and broader market trends.
  • Develop key performance indicators and drive monthly, quarterly and annual performance against established strategies and identify areas of improvement. This includes partnering with key stakeholders in identifying issues, analyzing options and building recommendations with strategic implications.
  • Establish, maintain and continuously improve Company’s analytical framework to enable in-depth analytical insights into business risks and opportunities. This includes evaluation of business opportunities and trends through competitive / market, financial and internal performance analysis
  • Accountable for the oversight of project financials and performance tracking of implemented initiatives. Reporting key insights and feedback on internal business performance to key stakeholders including the regional and global senior management
  • Develop and formulate presentation materials for President on internal and external business reviews
  • Close collaboration with Executive Committee to ensure alignment of departmental business strategies to overall Company business strategy


Requirements:

  • At least 10-years’ experience in insurance or financial services, with preference in the field of corporate business development, strategic planning, analytics or financial planning & analysis
  • Strong financial and business acumen with an analytical mindset
  • Creative and comfortable on ‘white-space’ assignments
  • Superior presentation and oral /written communication skills
  • Good proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word
  • Strong project management skills
  • Customer-centric, independent, good interpersonal skills and high degree of accountability
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin (proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage)
  • Straight BIG 4 candidate will be considered
