My client is a well reputable, leading international law firm.  They have offices globally in US, Europe and Asia.  There are currently 5 offices in APAC, and they are now seeking a Senior Regional Analyst to join their finance team in Hong Kong.  The office is located in Central.

This is a brand new role, and an addition to their existing team.  The firm is continuing to grow in size, work volume has increased dramatically and hence the need for a new hire.  My clients firm is a very stable platform, offering a very competitive salary and benefits package for this role.

The ideal candidate needs to be technically strong and communicate effectively.  The role will require this person to build financial models for performance measures, analyse a large volume of data, and to relay this information to partners of the firm.

Role and Responsibilities:

Complete ad-hoc financial analysis, reports and special projects related to client statistics and firm financial metrics.

Utilizes analytical skills and expert knowledge of business, economics, finance, and accounting to complete complex tasks.

Utilizes 3E financial system and Business Objects to obtain data and organize the information and build reports to facilitate effective analysis. 

Accurately interprets requests for analysis and reporting to produce appropriate and correct final work product.

Effectively communicates work product to colleagues across the firm through e-mail, phone, web conference, video conference, and in-person presentations.  Answers any questions that may arise regarding the data and/or analytical methods and assumptions used to build the work product.

Makes recommendations to streamline workflow and process within the organization.  Utilizes new technologies to automate tasks and reporting.

Maintains detailed records documenting procedures, methodologies, and sources of information employed while performing analytical tasks.

Ensures timely delivery of accurate and professional work product.

Completes special projects as requested.

Maintains professional image within the Finance and Accounting department and project same to those outside the department.

Promotes effective work practices, works as a team member, and shows respect for co-workers.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field required.

Five (5) or more years related analytical experience in finance or accounting desired.

Experience at a professional services organization desired.

Experience in working on ad-hoc requests and projects in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills

Proficiency with PC environment and related software

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Knowledge of SAP Business Objects, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Access a plus.

Knowledge of Thomson Reuters 3E a plus.
