The Job:

1. Carry out daily scheduled processing jobs, to setup and control running of batch jobs and to perform daily operations works according to the pre-defined jobs processing schedule, Administration procedures, Data Centre procedures, Application procedures, etc. 
2. Monitor systems performance (e.g. response time) and computer resources usage so that users are provided with good data processing and online computer services, responding promptly and appropriate to incidents.
3. Monitor the physical security control of data centres to ensure that all in/out are for legitimate reasons and that the control log is properly entered.
4. Handle Computer Equipment Breakdowns, to document such problems, to report to service contractors, to hand-over of the system according to the operations procedures; and to perform housekeeping (e.g. cleaning of tape drives, line printers, etc) of the computer equipment periodically.
5. To operate the printer for the printing of reports. To segregate reports and is responsible for quality control of output and report distribution.
6. To carry out the backup according to the job schedule. To control the backup operation to ensure success. To label the tapes and update the backup log after backup completed. To transfer the tapes to off-site library according to schedule.
7. Escalate to supervisors on incidents (operations, hardware failure, security breaches) according to pre-defined procedures. 

The Person: 

1. 1-2 years of experience in IT management or data center operations;
2. Analytical, self-initiative and responsible;
3. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
4. Knowledge on Windows / Unix / Network operation is highly advantage;
5. Holding valid certification of ITIL is preferable; and
6. Shift duty will be required.
