The main focus of this position will be chemical regulations for consumer products in the EU and USA. As business needs arise, research into non-chemical regulations for other countries may also be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing technical support - test protocol creation, creating and maintaining presentation materials, providing technical training to internal customers on the regulatory topics, etc. Project management will also be required
• Researching, monitoring, studying and collating regulatory information related to chemical regulations in consumer products - drafting internal and external newsletters, producing factsheets and other outputs as required. Research on non-chemical regulations and other countries may also be required as business needs arise
• All research information and project output must be maintained and updated on Company database systems
• Supporting sales activities - providing technical training to external customers; giving seminars at public or Company events; and providing technical support during customer visits; etc.
• Participating in internal technical meetings and discussions

Job Requirements:

• Degree or above in Chemistry or other related disciplines
• At least 3 years of experience in the field of chemical testing for consumer products for the EU and USA markets. Experience in third-party consumer product testing laboratories is preferred
• An excellent understanding and knowledge in the mandatory and regulatory requirements and their application in consumer product testing for the EU and USA markets. An indicative knowledge scope include (non-exhaustive): REACH, RoHS, WEEE, POPs, EN, ISO, CA Prop 65, TSCA, ASTM, etc. Experience and knowledge in additional markets would be an advantage
• A strong interest in regulatory research, and experience and knowledge in conducting online regulatory research is essential
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.
