The Role

The Senior Demand Planner/ Demand Planner role is to ensure our company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. You will assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models. The successful candidate will be able to capture key inputs to create a 24-month demand plan & provide suggestions and solutions to resolve demand gaps and supply constraints.

The role will report to the Demand Planning Manager, APAC.

Responsibilities:

Forecast and Planning

• Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns
• Serve the needs of the sales and marketing organization, supply organization, and product organization by producing an accurate and informed demand forecast over multiple time horizons and product aggregations for the APAC region
• Evaluate and follow up on demand and supply status on phase in/out, promotional, sales event items to make sure planning on track
• Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
• Effectively summarize and communicate complex analysis to internal parties
• Prepare data visualizations, reports, briefings, and concise summary analysis
• Drive regular strategic and operational review meetings with key vendors for product supply and inventory planning
• Ensure the forecast accuracy and performance meet KPIs
• Maintain optimal stock level with Regional operation team for supporting a profitable financial statement

Internal Communication and Coordination

• Communicate with Regional sales managers to obtain forecast data for demand planning
• Input data, analyze and adjust forecast information submitted by Regional sales managers
• Work close with cross functional teams such as Product team, Supply chain team, Finance team and US headquarter during the demand planning process

Risk Management

• Identify potential risks for supply chain process and provide suggestion and improvement plan
• Work with management to decide resource allocation in case of constraints

Person Specific:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting role
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
• Good understanding and skills on Big Data Management, including Power Query, Power Pivot, Big Data Analysis, etc.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Sound knowledge in PC applications and proficiency in MS Excel
• Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
• Adaptable and quick response to change, flexible in problem solving, sense of prioritization
• Strong communication and interpersonal skill, able to work with international teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite®
• Maintain a high level of reporting through internal company systems
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Demand Planner
• Immediately available is highly preferred
