Our client is a renowned international forwarder, to cope with their business expansion, they are currently hiring General Manager, South China & HK to join their Freight team.

Regional Head is accountable for formulating and executing the overall business strategy and operation excellence of the assigned region to achieve financial targets. Lead and coordinate the efforts of station heads to support corporate growth plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop current and long-term business strategy, policies, and procedures for the region to ensure efficient operations and aggressive business growth;
• Monitor the financial statement including top line, margin and OI to ensure the region achieving the Business Plan (BP);
• Work closely with station heads to plan and guide their operations and cooperation within and outside the assigned region, and solve operation or people issue to ensure their achieving BP targets;
• Continuously review operation process to enhance efficiency and control costs;
• Oversee customer services to meet and exceed customer expectation;
• Work with Sales team to develop new customers;
• Work with Account Managers on serving and developing key account business;
• Direct all stations to comply with company strategy, policy and local regulations;
• Coach and counsel station heads continuously;
• Develop the succession plan for station heads in the region;
• Strengthen the relationship with external parties such as vendors and industry associations as the organization ambassador; and
• Support headquarters in rolling out various corporate projects to support business development, efficiency improvement and corporate governance of the Group.

 REQUIREMENTS:

• University bachelor or master degree;
• 15+ years’ freight forwarding or related industry experience with 5+ years of operation / sales experience and 6 - 10 years at management level;
• Solid knowledge in logistics industry and markets, especially in the relevant region;
• Cross countries / regional business experiences;
• Strong communication skills in Chinese & English;
• Strong leadership and coaching skills;
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills;
• Good strategical analytical skills;
• Strong drive to achieve goals; and
• Ability to work under pressure.
