The incumbent of this position is responsible to provide financial and business support and reporting to the various areas of the Asia-Pacific division.  This includes supporting the creation of overhead & creative’s store operating plans, and measuring and analyzing results versus plan.  The jobholder will also work towards development and implementation of standard global policies and procedures, assist with projects and initiatives, process improvement, enhancing controls, and reducing costs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building financial budgets and analyzing and reviewing financial data and results
• Assist in month end closing & forecast activities for the divisions
• Assist in development of monthly/quarterly/annual management reports regarding the underlying performance of the businesses, leading indicators and key metrics
• Support the three year strategic plan and annual budget process
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and work on special projects
• Liaison to internal and external reporting teams and partner with the divisional finance teams to understand division/segment financial results and business trends
• Assist with implementation of streamlined procedures, goals and initiatives
• Timely issuance of real-time KPIs / Scorecards, and other reporting as needed
• Maintaining effective communication and coordination with brand division personnel, departments and management

Requirements

• Accounting or Finance Degree with 1-2 years of related experience
• Solid experience preparing financial plans and analytics
• Experience working with forecast/budget software applications
• Ability to navigate and extract data from general ledger / data warehouse tools
• Courteous professional with excellent analytical and financial analysis skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to influence, and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior management
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Detail oriented and experienced in follow-through and completion of projects
• Proficiency with financial systems and applications (eg. Microsoft AX, Concur or equivalent)
• Proficiency with International Accounting Standards and US GAAP
• Familiar with Hyperion, including Essbase or other equivalent consolidation/reporting tool
• Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
• Knowledge of diverse corporate functions and working knowledge of business operations
• Sound business process knowledge and applying business/financial principles
