Our client, a well-known retail bank in Hong Kong, is looking for a high calibre to join the group.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent checking and verification for the works of the financial / regulatory reporting team;
• Assure the HKMA returns produced are accurate and comply with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines of the bank;
• Prepare financial statements for banking companies;
• Draft accounting policies and procedures manuals;
• Participate in accounting related projects such as systems enhancement for accounting and regulatory reporting, UAT of new products of the bank;
• Perform other ad hoc tasks;

Requirements

• University graduate in Accounting or related disciplines;
• Qualified accountant;
• At least 6 years of working experience in the financial reporting function ofa banking field;
• Familiar with HKMA requirements including banking return, listing rules, and regulatory requirements applicable to banks, insurance companies and listed companies;
• Previous experience in system implementation of accounting system will be an advantage;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Proficient in MS Office;
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese;
