SRIS is searching for experienced educators to fill in a number of positions in its Secondary School. 

The main role of the classroom teacher is to maximize student learning and development through the planning, preparation, and teaching of the curriculum to meet student’s individual learning needs and achieve specific student outcomes. 

The school will be expanding its current faculty in the areas of 

1. Senior English
2. Senior Science
3. Geography 

Teaching and responsibilities  

• Plan lessons to meet student’s individual learning needs and to ensure student progression
• Use a range of appropriate strategies for teaching and learning and classroom management
• Maintain a well-organized and stimulating learning environment

Extracurricular 

• Planning and engaging in professional learning activities that support school and systematic priorities
• Collaborate with members of the school community to build a team environment that supports students’ learning

The available positions are full-time posts with contracts through July 2021 and are renewable by mutual consent.  

Requirements 

• Bachelor Degree in Education, or Bachelor Degree in any specified subject with PGCE (preferred)
• At least two years of teaching experience
