Job Description
- Provide hardware and software installation, upgrade, support in maintenance and administration of the IT infrastructure and its services including server, storage, database, VM infrastructure, or network, security technology and system monitoring services.
- Co-ordinate with vendors to deliver various IT projects.
- Implement tools for system health monitoring and reporting, assure stable operations of system.
- Monitor the performance of the infrastructure and carry out tuning exercises as appropriate to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify single points of failure and weaknesses within the infrastructure and identify options for resolution.
- Assist the team/external suppliers to ensure appropriate fixes are applied to all identified problems.
- Support of infrastructure components in line with agreed service level agreements.
- Constantly look for opportunities to improve the level of support offered for the same cost, including evaluation of third-party software and tools to automate repetitive tasks.
- Act as technical consultant providing advice and guidance in systems. Maintain system documentation and provide inventory control.
- Degree holder in Computer Science or IT related discipline.
- 5+ year relevant working experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or network operations
- Willing to work under pressure.
- Must have excellent analytical, problem solving, communication skills.
- Must be business savvy and result oriented as well as a team player.
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with team members & business users.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly.
- Good command of spoken and written English & Chinese
- At least 5 years working experience in system support
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Windows and Exchange system.
- Hands-on experience in managing VMware, SAN storage systems and Citrix environments.
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud, MS Intune is an advantage.
- Experience in Microsoft SQL and Oracle database is an big advantage.
- Knowledge or experience in IT security is an advantage.
- Holder of IT certificates including Azure/MCSE/MCITP/CCNA/CCNP/ITIL is an advantage.
- At least 5 years working experience in network administration and support
- 3 years Hand-on experience in network and security projects deliverable.
- Strong knowledge on networking protocols (Spanning tree protocol, HSRP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)
- Experience with Juniper SRX, checkpoint, Palo Alto firewall is an advantage
- Holder of Cisco CCNP, PaloAlto PCNSE, checkpoint CCSA certification or related professional certification an advantage
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with team members & business users.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good command of spoken and written English & Chinese
