Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all new claims are registered properly and promptly
• Set and monitor reserve adequately and timely and ensure the authority levels laid down are complied with
• Evaluate policy liabilities, verify quantum and recommend settlement in accordance with Company’s underwriting/claims policy and reinsurance practice
• Settle and handle employee compensation claims effectively and efficiently in accordance with company guidelines, policy terms, claims instructions and procedures
• Keep close monitoring on development of claims files and take appropriate follow up actions
• Liaise with claims adjusters and solicitors when necessary
• Provide quality and professional claims service to customers
• Identify and maximize subrogation/salvage recovery and collect overpayments and assist the salvage disposition or other recovery legal proceedings where necessary

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above preferably with progress in professional insurance examinations
• Minimum of 1 year experience in general insurance
• Experience in servicing and operation of Commercial Lines with emphasis on Employees Compensation would be a strong advantage
• Self-motivated, customer–oriented, willing to take up responsibility and a good team player
• Excellent telephone manner, customer service and communication skills
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing
