Assistant Stone Purchasing Manager is a member of the Purchasing Team under VDA Group. This post explores and manage all the diamond purchasing, cost, and inventory control, for the company be able in the fierce international market in the jewelry industry to increase competitiveness.

JOB Responsibilities

• Assist to manage the Purchasing team
• Support the team to identify strengths and gaps in performance and to seek solutions
• Implement and maintain regular communication channels to keep teams up-to-date with current performance.
• Assist in analyzing the purchasing management report and stone cost control
• Managing suppliers’ relationships
• Participate and assist in stone inventory management
• Develop and implement purchasing planning in alignment with the Group's revenue target and the direction of product development
• Work with subordinates to oversee the entire purchasing process in both Hong Kong and China including sourcing targeted products and prices & monitoring material inventory balance
• Work with internal & external parties effectively to ensure product compliance & flawless production execution
• Attend exhibitions and fairs whenever necessary

JOB Requirements

• Diploma holder of purchasing or relevant disciplines
• At least 8 years purchasing experience in the luxury jewellery industry, in which 3 years at supervisory level
• With strong stone knowledge
• Well-organized, with strong analytical and communication skills
• Good in presentation and interpersonal skill
• Good command of English, Cantonese as well as Putonghua
• Good in computer software applications
• Frequent travel to China is necessary
