Responsibilities:

• Conceive ideas for products and/or services that will increase the sales of the Company
• Calculate costs and propose charges for new products or services 
• Work with other departments to launch the new products or services
• Help promote the new products or services to schools and target customers
• Edit manuscripts of textbooks and teaching aids
• Proof-reading of textbooks and teaching aids
• Design exercises and activities for textbooks and teaching aids
• Take up the task of the author to fill content gaps of textbook and teaching aids manuscripts if necessary
• Conduct research, collect information and data relevant to the subject matter
• Determine the layout and cover of textbooks
• Supervise staff within the team
• Liaise with authors, freelance translators and content providers

Requirements:

• University graduate or above majoring in Humanities, Chinese History and History or equivalent
• Excellent command in Chinese language and English language and writing skills
• Proficient in MS Office application and computer knowledge
• Good communication and organization skills
• Meticulous to details and hardworking, able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
• 2 - 3 years of editorial experience and those in educational publishing is an advantage
• Familiar with local secondary curriculum is preferred
• Sales experience preferred
