You will become an important part of our growth story, working directly with our Chief Strategy Officer to conduct market research, provide analysis and design world-class own-brand products, including pet foods, treats, toys and hard goods.

Responsibilities:

• Research and identify new business opportunities - including online research, new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
• Source products from other vendors accordingly
• Understand the markets' needs and contribute to the product design process, and ensure the development is within timeline and budget
• Formulate effective strategies to build the market awareness
• Monitor and report on milestones during new product development
• Partner with relevant stakeholders on negotiations for all managed vendors and wholesale relationships (both as a buyer and a seller)
• Think and work strategically, understand the big picture, define goals and objectives to grow and enhance the company, as well as carry out operational improvement plans

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree holder or above in Food Science or Nutrition disciplines
• 1-3 years relevant experience, pet industry experience is a strong advantage
• Must be an animal lover (especially cats / dogs)
• Experience in China market is a definite advantage
• A strong communicator, able to work in cross-functional teams to achieve results
• Strong in VLOOKUP, Pivot Table within Microsoft Excel and other analytic systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English/Mandarin/Cantonese
• A self-driven passion to stay on top of pet-related trends and developments
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Product Development Officer
• Immediate available is highly preferred
