ABOUT THE TEAM

The Strategic Planning & Insight team are business partners to the Brand, Innovation & Commercial Teams and inspire consumer love and empathy through consumer closeness. The team is responsible for being the voice of the consumers, making consumer and shopper data and insights available, and inform decision-making through inspiration and action.

Everything the team does is by a true passion to promote consumer-centric and guide the company to make consumer informed decisions.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a 12-month contract role with possibility for contract extension or promotion to permanent role, subject to performance and business needs.

As the Assistant Insights Manager, you are part of our Pernod Ricard Asia HQ Marketing team, which has the goal to continuously drive consumer centric and guide different business teams for consumer-informed decisions.

This role is also part of the global Consumer Insights (CI) community with the vision to drive high consumer value for stronger marketing & commercial impact.

To achieve this, the Strategic Planning and Insight team is striving to understand consumers and shoppers relentlessly. The key responsibility of the candidate is to manage the online community in Asia and drive engagements to promote nimble and agile research approach.

On top of this, the candidate will be heavily involved in the execution of foresight to actions tasks.

Besides, the candidate is expected to provide support ad hoc quantitative and qualitative research to ensure we have a complete understanding of our consumers and marketing performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement the roll out of Pernod Ricard Asia online community to provide quick consumer insights. Leading daily online community management, planning & facilitate engagement with community members. Working closely with service provider to ensure smooth operation of the online community. Throughout the process, the candidate is expect to work closely with research agency and local team for execution.
  • Support in foresights to actions related studies. Leverage internal data sources in identifying trends for strategics Asia markets to ensure relevance for Pernod Ricard Asia. This will help to drive inspirations for innovation, marketing, and branding.
  • Provide support in rolling out consumer understanding study in Asia, implement and rollout global framework that help the team to gain true understanding of consumers.
  • Coordinate with research partners on implementation of adhoc research projects, guarantee the quality in all research processes
  • Coordinate and guarantee that global guidelines and standards are applied in all research studies
  • Responsible for both the internal and external relationships and for landing genuinely integrated insights
  • Manage internal systems and workflows e.g. PO creation, invoicing, data upload to global portals etc

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & CANDIDATE PERSONALITY

Qualification:

  • Degree holder in Marketing, Statistics or related disciplines

Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in market research at agency side and / or equivalent FMCG company
  • Comprehensive market research knowledge, solid client servicing experience and good analytical skills.
  • Prior experience in community approach research is a plus
  • Experience with social listening tool is a plus
  • Knowledge on survey programming tools is a plus
  • Experience with data processing, analysis, and visualization
  • Ability to extract meaningful information from data
  • Proficient PC skills e.g. MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc
