Job Description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is a statutory body established by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2008, responsible for developing the West Kowloon Cultural District.
 

Job title: Learning and Engagement Officer 

Duration: 12 months (subject to renew)

Location: HKPM Museum / HKPM Office

You will be responsible for providing support to the team with a focus related to learning centre and engagement and the duties will include but not limited to:

  • assisting the project preparation and implementation and the delivery of learning programmes to audience groups at the learning centre;
  • guiding and encouraging guests to experience events or activities happening in various museum spaces;
  • providing logistic and administrative support in the operation of a weekly performing arts programme as well as coordination and project execution for other learning programmess;
  • assisting procurement activities including preparing documents, assisting in the assessment process and liaison with procurement team and other internal operation units;
  • assisting in building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders; and
  • assisting the Learning and Engagement section in other events and activities with administrative support when needed. 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree, preferably in Chinese art, history, education, performing arts, museum studies, design, arts administration, cultural studies or equivalent;
  • preferably have at least 2 years of work experience in implementation of learning and interpretation programmes in an art or education organisation;
  • have research skills, interest and curiosity for Chinese art and culture, performing arts, education or museum learning;
  • be self-motivated and able to work independently and cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment;
  • be highly-organised and detail-oriented; and
  • have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese; and
  • expect work on weekends and public holidays and occasionally in the evenings according to the duty roster assigned.
