Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist the Laboratory Manager to supervise day-to-day operation of the Laboratory (Organic Team)
- Plans projects and carries out chemical analysis to ensure work conforms to standard operating procedures and is completed accurately and in a timely manner;
- Directs training of chemists and technicians on performing routine analysis according to standard operating procedures and QA/QC SDPs;
- Modifies, evaluates and verifies analytical methods and procedures required for analytical testing;
- Prepare & review SOP to ensure QA/QC standards are met and applies safety rules and adheres to general conduct regulations in handling laboratory materials and equipment;
- Arranges for removal of waste material generated by laboratory work in area of responsibility
- Bachelor's Degree in basic science with minimum 5 years applicable experience or equivalent;
- Must be able to apply analytical chemistry methods and techniques in working laboratory situation and participate actively in laboratory problem solving and production.
- Previous experience on modern instruments and organic chemistry is required;
- Sound knowledge in HOKLAS laboratory quality system;
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
