Responsibilities

• To plan, organize and conduct the activities of the Landfill Monitoring Programme;

• Follow health and safety regulations to perform environmental sampling and monitoring;

• Keep field monitoring records and assist in preparation of monthly and annual environmental reports;

• Perform a variety of scientific calculations to cross check with legal and contractual requirements;

• Alert the supervisor to any adverse findings in the field monitoring or any trend of deterioration in environmental quality;

• Recommend the purchase of environmental monitoring equipment and assist in the development of equipment specifications;

• Take care of all monitoring and sampling equipment and operate the equipment in accordance with established procedures;

• Assist in the implementation of the policies and objectives of the company

• Organize sampling and coordinate delivery and reports of samples sent out to external laboratories for testing and analyzing

 Requirements

• Completion of college level course work in environmental engineering, environmental science, chemistry or biology.
• Experience in laboratory analysis and environmental monitoring;
• Fluent in written and speaking English and Chinese;
• Good computer knowledge;
• Holder of valid driving license (Class 1 & 2);
• Holder of Laboratory Safety Certificate;
• Holder of Confined Space Competent Person;
• Supervisory experience in environmental studies, regulation and monitoring.
