Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate assistant category officer / sourcing to join a fast-growing company in trading FMCG goods with a large cover around the globe focusing on in one of the aforementioned category.
Responsibilities include general office support, handling administrative requests and queries from the managing director, managing inventory control in order to support the growth of the business.
Main tasks and Activities:
- Report to the Director and deal with all brand principals, traders, suppliers and clients in household, personal care, beauty, and healthcare categories from all over the world
- Coordinate your missions between the suppliers / traders / brand principals or the clients, and the Director
- Dealing with sourcing and benchmarks on products, clients and the suppliers / traders / brand principals
- Edit purchase orders and delivery orders with procurement team
- Monitor internal systems on stock levels, checking accuracy, investigating and resolving any problems
- Ensure that the accuracy of stock is maintained and available when required
- Supplying status reports for weekly stock meeting.Perform supplier’s audit
Skills and Experiences:
- Must have analytical skills
- Previous experience of overseeing stock control is essential;
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Methodical and logical thinking
- Good use of Microsoft Systems – specifically advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
- Fast-learning, adaptable with a positive learning attitude
- Minimum two years related experience in buying role;
- Negotiation level of English and Mandarin. Spoken Korean / Japanese is a plus
Requirements
- University graduate with a minimum of 2 year experiences in buying role preferable inhousehold, personal care, beauty, and healthcare categories sector. Previous in experience as buying role in any reputable Key Chain Stores is advantageous.
- Initiative with presentational & interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and some experiences in channels (experience in online and offline sales role will be an advantage)
- Hands-on PC skills in MS Office, & Chinese Word Processing
- Proactive and able to work under stress
- Able to quickly react to changing environment.
- Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
- Experienced candidates will be considered as Senior Buying Officer
