FINANCE OFFICE
Associate Accountant / Assistant Accountant (Accounting Operations Section) (Ref. 22051314-JCS)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a)  assist in the review of compensation and benefits administration and the internal control of payroll operations for efficiency enhancement;
(b)  manage premium payments, shortfalls and related transactions of staff medical and dental benefit schemes;
(c)  supervise daily operations for payroll, benefits, staff claims and related payments of the University and its subsidiaries, including but not limited to verifying payment and related tax filing and ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory requirements, policies, rules and regulations;
(d)  perform staff cost analysis and projection for the requirements of management and funding bodies;
(e)  handle general office administration; and
(f)   performanyotherdutiesasassignedbytheDirectorofFinanceandherdelegates.
Qualifications
Applicantsshould have:
(a)  a recognised degree in Accounting or related disciplines;
(b)  a professional accounting qualification or equivalent is preferred;
(c) at least three years’ experience in accounting, auditing or other related fields, with experience in payroll operations and staff benefits being an advantage; 
(d) some supervisory experience;
(e) proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
(f)  a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(g)  good communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Accountant.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
