To support the expansion in our accounting and tax practice, we are inviting high calibre candidate with a strong sense of teamwork and a passion for excellence to join our tax services.  This position is a senior level role who assists the Head of Accounting and Tax Services to expand the capability of the tax practice.   You will report to the Associate Director of Tax and will be supported by a team of tax executives and staff. You will be responsible for providing quality tax services to clients and developing tax consultancy including transfer pricing and international tax services for the team.

Your key responsibilities

• Provide HK tax compliance and advisory services for a variety of clients, including HK domestic and foreign corporations,
• Recognize the opportunities and key capabilities required to deliver high quality service to the clients
• Familiar with current tax legislation and keep abreast of new technical developments to clients and the team
• Assist the tax team to develop transfer pricing engagements based on relevant economic and accounting principles and their interplay with Transfer Pricing rules
• Deliver effective tax risk management and management of transaction from a tax perspective
• Develop and implement innovative ways to approach client needs - use research into client businesses to initiate new service and product offerings to clients
• Undertake business development activities and market tax services to clients, non-clients and other teams within the organization
• Work closely with other teams and sales team to develop new business
• Responsible for managing a team of executives and staff and provide appropriate training to them
• Delegate work to members of tax team, ensuring follow up strategies are in place

To qualify, individual must possess

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline with professional qualification (ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent)
• At least 15 years of experience with preferably in international accounting firms
• Strong and solid knowledge of tax with an understanding of international markets
• Experience in consulting on Transfer Pricing rules and preparation of the documentation
• Ability to develop client relationships and identify business opportunities participating in the development, marketing and implementation of tax services
• Proven ability to develop and manage people effectively through leadership, appropriate delegation, coaching and mentoring of staff
• Smart, energetic person who is ambitious to strive for excellence
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skill
• Excellent command of both English and Cantonese is required
• Candidate will less experience may be considered for the position of Tax Manager
