Job Description
My client is a large sized and reputable retail and commercial bank in Hong Kong. The finance department is now looking for a new Manager or Senior Manager to sub-lead and support the financial accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:

- Report directly to the Financial Controller
- Lead the preparation of month-end and year-end closing
- Support full range daily accounting duties, including General Ledger and reconciliations work
- Mentor junior accountants within the team
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure statutory annual audits are completed in a timely manner
- Keep up to date with latest financial reporting standards and implement as necessary, and ensure key stakeholders are up to date
- Ad hoc support duties related to financial accounting function
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/finance or related
- Qualified Accountant
- 8+ years minimum experience in financial accounting / financial reporting within banks or financial institutions
- Strong communications in Cantonese
- Self-starter, proactive, ability to work independently and under pressure
