Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will report jointly to an external accounting firm which oversees the accounts and the director. This individual is responsible for performing general accounting and financial duties. This includes routine accounting entries, invoicing, payments and managerial reporting. Besides the the routine work, the Senior Accountant is also in charge of the project management.
Responsibilities
- Project management / Management Accounting Change
- Input multi-currencies accounting entries
- Input multi-currencies accounting entries
- Issue quotations, invoices and handle accounts receivable
- Perform overseas bank transfer and cheque payments, handle accounts payable
- Responsible for month-end closing and journals and perform bank reconciliation
- Intra-group intercompany balance reconciliation
- Maintain fixed asset register and update inventory list in accounting system
- Assist in developing and improving inventory and invoicing system for services and parts
- Maintain bank book and prepare timely cashflow forecast and budgeting
- Prepare managerial reporting and financial analysis for directors’ review and decision making on a monthly basis (monthly management accounts)
- Liaise with external auditor for annual audit and tax reporting
- Handle company secretary matters
- Handle any ad-hoc task as assigned
Requirements
- Degree or Higher Diploma holder in Accounting or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in handling full sets of books including payment and month-end closing
- Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Proficiency with Xero software; knowledge of MYOB
- Experience with multi-currencies functionality preferred
- Proficiency in use of computerized accounting software, MS Office and Chinese Word Processing
- Candidates should be self-disciplined, diligent, able to work independently, strong attention to details and proactive in following up and executing work assignments
- Good organizational, communication with interpersonal skills to work closely with other colleagues
- Work experience in Yachting industry is a big plus
- Work experience in Yachting industry is a big plus
- Immediate available is highly preferred
