Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide administrative support to the office
  • Undertake administrative and clerical duties 
  • Maintain proper filing and accounting records
  • Maintain and update membership data
  • Processing dinghy certificate issuance and the sale of logbooks, maintain office inventories
  • Assist in organizing activities of sport of sailing 
  • Require to word irregular hours and outdoors as and when necessary
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Secretarty General

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade E / Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including English (Syllabus B), Chinese and Mathematics in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or equivalent; or Level 2 or equivalent or above in 5 subjects including English, Chinese and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination;
  • Good command of English and Chinese;
  • Working experiences preferred but not essential;
  • Proficient in MS Office, Chinese word processing ;
  • Reliable, self-initiative, pleasant and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese ;

Company Info

The Hong Kong Sailing Federation (HKSF), is the national authority for the sport of sailing in Hong Kong. The HKSF membership consists of individuals, associations and clubs.

The HKSF is affiliated to the World Sailing (ISAF), the Asian Sailing Federation (ASAF) and the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC). It also represents interests of the recreational boating and yachting circles of Hong Kong on the Marine Department Committee as well as the interests of Hong Kong sailors to the Hong Kong SAR Government, Leisure and Cultural Services Department etc.

It ensures that yacht racing in Hong Kong is run fairly in accordance with international rules. It publishes the international Racing Rules of Sailing, including the Hong Kong prescriptions, which are invariably referred to in all regatta sailing instructions. It decides on Appeals against Protest Committee decisions or questions on the Racing Rules. It determines the eligibility of, and selects, sailors to represent Hong Kong at international events in particular the Olympic Games, Asian Games.

It certifies clubs and associations as qualified to teach sailing and seamanship, and certifies sailors at various levels of competence. It provides properly trained and qualified officials by organising training courses as required for Sailing Instructors, Race Officers, Judges and Umpires.
