Job description:

  • Develop and review credit risk policies and standards, and enhance credit risk methodologies and processes on an on-going basis;
  • Perform risk assessment in Leverage notes, TRS, cross-board projects;
  • Review ISDA/GMRA/GMSLA/CSA and other credit risk mitigation mechanisms;
  • Conduct counterparty/ client due diligence and financial statement analysis;
  • Compile risk reports with detailed risk analysis and suggestions to the credit committee;
  • Perform regular counterparty due diligence reviews, and ensure credit limits are set at appropriate levels;
  • Monitor and manage risk exposures and limit utilization at counterparty, product and portfolio levels;
  • Assist in the counterparty credit rating and internal rating projects;
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc risk reports to the business and management;
  • Perform post loan monitoring and reporting. Proactively assist in problem loan management;
  • Develop and improve credit risk related models including margin financing lending ratio model;
  • Familiar with new regulatory requirements on financial institutions' OTC derivatives under SFC is a plus, including use of model approach to calculate Initial Margin (IM), Variation Margin (VM) and Average aggregate notional (ANNA) requirements;
  • Perform additional duties and support other risk management related projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance or relevant discipline;
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience;
  • Working knowledge of credit analysis on counterparties/clients;
  • Good understanding of company's financial statements, including ration analysis, cash flow analysis, and basic accounting standards;
  • Ability to learn and develop knowledge on credit analysis techniques, with reference to sectors and global economies;
  • Knowledge of relevant exchange regulations and products, and general market practices;
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently under minimal supervision;
  • Good interpersonal skills and proficiency in using Excel, Word and Access;
  • Good command of spoken and written communications in English & Chinese (including Putonghua).
