Job Scope
The Manager will play a key role in the Financial Reporting Team, assisting the Division Head in the improvement and maintenance of the financial reporting standards.
Furthermore, you will assist the Division Head to oversee financial reporting and regulatory filing, review current accounting policies, ensure compliance with Group reporting risk control framework and monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall financial reporting functions of the Branch and the Company.

Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end financial closing, timely and accurate submission of local and Group reporting to senior management, Regional Office, Group Office and regulators
- Prepare analysis on financial positions and financial performances.
- Monitor the finance and accounting systems, policies and procedures to ensure its processes and systems are operating in the most efficient and effective manners. Propose changes as needed.
- Participate in the finance projects as the finance business users (e.g. IFRS17, IFRS 9 and/or other ad hoc projects) and work closely with project teams.
- Implement the Group policies and control framework in order to adhere to the relevant local and Group procedures and obtain satisfactory audit and regulators’ review reports.
- Maintain key internal and external relationships (e.g Head Office, Regional Office, auditors, regulators etc).
- Coach and develop the staff members to maintain high quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of accounting & statutory reporting experience in financial institution or audit firms (priority will be given to candidate with insurance accounting experience)
- Qualified accountant with strong IFRS knowledge
- Understanding of local insurance regulatory environment is an advantage
- Experience with SAP system is an advantage
- University graduate in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Good command of spoken and written English
