The role:
Reporting to the Lead Counsel of Product Legal & Regulatory, North Asia, of the Airwallex Group who is based in Hong Kong, you will be a vital member of the Airwallex Group’s product legal and regulatory compliance team for North Asia.  You will focus on regulatory compliance for our suite of products and compliance with our various licenses granted in North Asia.  Importantly, you will be a member of Unicard’s team assisting with operationalising Airwallex's regulatory compliance program for our Stored Value Facility (“SVF”) license.   Unicard is a member of the Airwallex Group that holds the SVF license.  At Airwallex, we see regulatory compliance as an important and essential element of the services we provide to our business teams and our customers.

At Airwallex, you will be partnered with internal teams to design, develop, implement and execute controls in detecting and mitigating risks,  support product structuring and launch and ensure compliance with licensing requirements, such as timely reporting and filings. 
What you will be doing
    • Provide general support to the regulatory compliance  team  to ensure the compliance program and products  comply with regulatory requirements, in particular, requirements under SVF license of Unicard and requirements under licenses issued to members of Airwallex Group;
    • Assist in the day to day regulatory compliance operations, including regulatory reporting etc
    • Assist in reviewing and updating regulatory compliance manuals, policies and procedures;
    • As a member of the regulatory compliance team, work with stakeholders, including legal, licensing, operations, product and risk management functions on regulatory inquiries; 
    • Dealing with regulators around the region; 
    • Document filings and maintain document database;
    • Ad hoc duties 
Who you are

Skills and experience you will bring
    • Degree holder, preferably with a law degree
    • At least 5 years of experience as a consultant or compliance officer - preferably with SVF licensee or consulting firms or financial institutions
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English and ChineseAble to multi-task effectively, strong organisational skills and detail-oriented
    • Proactive, pleasant, team player, with strong communication skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint
