Main Responsibilities:

The Head of Investment Management will play an instrumental role in defining and recommending investment strategies and appropriate asset allocation, drafting the investment objectives of the portfolios. He/ She will review the current structure and procedures and recommend changes to the Investment Committee and CIO. Additionally this role will conduct specific investment research and prepare investment reports for the Board.

The Head of Investment Management will be responsible for establishment and maintenance of a financial and operational processing environment that is focused on ethical standards and appropriate internal controls. Also to identify potential strategic commercial investment trends and opportunities and take a leadership role in decision making on investments in the fixed income & equity and due diligence activities.

Incumbent Requirements:

Success in this role requires a visionary who can move the organization to the next level in terms of risk adjusted investment returns. This approach to investment will be complimented by broad knowledge of multiple asset classes and investment strategies and the interpersonal skills required to communicate these strategies to management.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned, experiences investment executive with a minimum of 15 years related experience. Should have proven experience in managing people. A very strong proficiency in fixed income and equity investments (e.g. stock and bond portfolio management), segment of fund management relationships.

He/ She will have strong product knowledge across equities and a demonstrable track record in the field, as well as risk management experience.
