Key Purpose of the Role

To understand and formulate design decisions and be able to present these for discussion. To contribute to the development and delivery of design projects, taking initiative in response to direction and instruction from the project leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Understands the design project and takes responsibility for specific areas of the design and project development.
• Prepares and develops presentation boards, drawings, mood boards, working models, images and other documents.
• Assists with the management of junior designers and draughtsmen in the project team.
• Prepares tender applications and presentations, and attends project meetings and client presentations.
• Coordinates with contractors and others external third parties to the project.
• Contributes to the project and assists the project leader as required, including regular site visits to check on progress where appropriate.

About You

• Experience working on concept, schematic and/or detailed stage in interior design projects.
• Experience of large format environments would be beneficial.
• Suite, Autocad, SketchUp or an alternative 3D package such as Rhino. Revit would be beneficial.
• Demonstrate a basic knowledge of materials and their application.
• Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to communicate with suppliers.
• Team player with collaborative work ethic. Proactive and conscientious.
