QESS Project (Ref: T02/QESS/2020)

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible to design and implement the graphic models for the VR CAVE system for the QESS project “Development of real-time cooperative VR multi-CAVE systems for collaborative and team learning”
• Responsible to develop the VR system software, to complete the task of computer graphics visualization, image capturing, user‐interface design, calibration and rendering process
• Designing user experience and user interface to fulfill the project needs
• Participating in development of life cycle including design, coding, testing, implementation and maintenance
• Gathering and evaluating user requirements, preparing requirements specification
• Closely communicating with team members to ensure the project status is aligning with schedule, providing system support to end-users if necessary and taking up administration duties for organising workshop and seminars.
• Updating VR activities of website of Computer Science Department
• Initial appointment period: 12 Months

Skills and Qualifications

• At least 1 year related working experience
• Good command of written and spoken of Chinese and English
• Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web/Graphic Design or related disciplines
• Proven experience in building software with Unity 5.0+
• Working experience with designers, producers and peers to implement UX and design. Proficiency in C# programming, HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, for interactive and cross-browser compatible applications
• Proven experience with web design portfolio
• Understanding of Virtual Reality Systems
• Willing to learn, self-motivated and independent
• Able to work under pressure and fast-paced environment
