The Floral Inventory Manager works closely with store management to communicate standards of excellence to employees. Responsible for ensuring that flower orders are picked with accuracy and timeliness. Knowledge about a wide range of floral designs, flowers, foliage along with their seasonal availability and how long they will stay fresh.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee fulfilment of all orders by the team
• Timely and accurate picking of fresh floral for each order and ensuring the quality of product selected
• Regularly check the order tray to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner
• Make sure all designs and duties are to be performed in accordance with standard operating policies and procedures
• Reinforcing safety and proper flower handling practices, particularly for rare or delicate strains
• Care for flowers and foliages and maintain the optimum condition for their storage
• Keep tabs on what flowers have on hand and how long they should remain usable, notify the buying team when certain flowers are running low
• Ensure that the products available are the highest quality and maintain the flower room clean and tidy
• Plan ahead for peak periods and organise responsibilities for each team member
• Oversee staffing schedules ensuring sufficient cover for day-to-day as well as at peak trading periods

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong knowledge of flower varieties and floristry techniques, including the size, colour and lifespan of different kinds of flowers
• Strong knowledge of the flower industry
• Passionate about flowers along with a positive attitude
• Superior prioritising, communication and people skills with the ability to execute tasks with knowledge and confidence
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Highly motivated and able to work under pressure
