Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and control quality of Trade Promotions activities in alignment with the overall directions of the Business Development and organisation needs including:  

    Trade Events
    • Compile plans to implement different events/shows worldwide
    • Implement global trade (B2B) & consumer (B2C) show plans based on division’s  directions
    • Support Head Office and Worldwide Offices to build trade/consumer shows in line with the HKTB’s agreed strategic plans.
    • Control quality of the design and build of Hong Kong pavilion in all General trade, MICE/Cruise and consumer shows to reflect the destination image of Hong Kong.
    • Ensure all production schedule are met and within approved budget under the HKTB tendering processes.
Government Promotions
    • Execute plans and supervise the implementation of
      • High profile consumer events (B2C) in various countries to support Government’s Hong Kong week initiative and senior official’s overseas visits
      • Greater Bay Area and Belt & Road trade events (B2B) in HK to support Government’s and the HKTB initiatives
      • Other Government events as and when required
Trade Service Support
    • Plan and supervise the implementation of the Tourism Overview/ Updates, an annual HKTB showcase to trade and tourism industry related stakeholders.
    • Develop creative and high quality marcom materials including but not limited to videos/pictures, display items, corporate give-away items for the division and Worldwide Offices to support seasonal or ad-hoc projects
    • Assist the Senior Manager in the design of the global trade show modules and consumer show modules for the overseas markets to adapt from.
    • Monitor agencies in developing marketing materials for the division and Worldwide Offices to adapt for trade promotions.
  • Oversee the development and execution of trade promotion projects via eSolution system, a new digital initiative to enrich visitors travel experiences and create business opportunities for trade partners.
    • Supervise the project implementation from planning, collecting requirements, conducting user acceptance tests and monitoring after system launch.
    • Lead the execution of digital co-op campaigns with Worldwide Offices, internal business users and IT team to drive arrivals from HKTB’s overseas sources markets.
    • Develop engagement plan with various trade partners to drive the participation and system usage.
  • Monitor annual budget and manpower requirements for the implementation of approved plans; and ensure all programs are implemented on schedule, in the highest possible quality, within the allocated budget and in compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and compile regular budget reports for management review.
  • To undertake any other duties/ special assignments as directed by the Senior Manager, Trade Marketing.
Requirements
  • University graduate or equivalent, preferably in Marketing/Business Administration and E-commerce
  • At least 10 years’ experience preferably in event management and digital projects
  • Demonstrated competence in working with advertising agency, design houses and contractors
  • Proven track record in planning large scale of integrated marketing projects and promotion events local and overseas
  • Strong technical knowledge in print production and 3D fabrication
  • Sound Knowledge of digital technologies and applications
  • Excellent in project management, leadership and communication skills
  • Good organisation skills, meticulous attention to details and work beyond normal office hours
  • Proficient in written & spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage
