The primary school is looking for a Special Education Teaching Assistant position starting the 2022/23 academic year. It is a junior position that requires a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

THE ROLE

• Provide support to teachers in the education of students through teaching and non-teaching responsibilities related to all activities in the school.
• Help teachers plan learning activities that match student’s developmental needs and complete records
• Implement agreed behaviour and management strategies
• Prepare appropriate teaching resources and classroom displays
• Use thoughtful questions and prompts to encourage student involvement
• Support extra-curricular activities of students
• Participate in relevant professional development

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in related field and experience in dual language and/or bilingual setting
• High level of professionalism and consideration of well-being of the children
• Ability to build good relationships with children, teachers and parents
• Excellent competency in English and Chinese
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills - team player and able to multi-task
• Candidate must have Hong Kong work visa
