Position: English teacher for Secondary

Korean International School is seeking an English teacher for Secondary Level (Korean Section)

Role & Responsibilities:

• Teaching secondary students English in small class size
• Teaching classes such as Literature, Essay Writing, Social Studies, SAT reading
• Administrative works such as Mock TOEFL test, Placement test, English Book Quiz, etc.
• Provide comments and update parents on progress and improvement
• Preparation of class materials & teaching aids (structured lesson plans, course syllabus, materials are provided)
• Contract Period: 16 August 2022 to 31 August 2023 (The contract can be renewed after initial 1-year contract according to the teacher’s intention and school’s decision.)
• Working location: Sai Wan Ho
• Working days and hours: Mon. to Fri., 8:00am to 4:30pm

Requirements:

1. Required

• Secondary English Education Degree (Most important)
• Registered teacher with Hong Kong EDB
• Minimum 1-year experience at a School as a secondary English teacher
• Good communication and interpersonal skills – Responsible, Well-organized, Stable and Punctual 
• Able to work cooperatively with Korean teachers
• Must have a HK Permanent ID Card and/or working visa

2. Preferred

• TESOL/ CELTYL Certification
• Experience in teaching SAT or TOEFL
• Knowledge / Experience of Social Studies or related fields
• More than 3-year experience at a School as a Native English teacher
