We are seeking an educational assistant at ESF Tung Chung International Kindergarten to initally work in our newly opening pre-nursery class.  Educational assistants work alongside the classroom teacher to facilitate children learning. 

Responsibilities

Working in collaboration with the class teacher and our parent community we are looking for a proactive, well organised and caring individual to

• Plan a range of stimulating and purposeful classroom activities for children
• Scaffold children's learning through individual and small group play-based experiences
• Model play skills and interactions with children and encourage children to participate
• Observe, note and discuss with the teacher children’s learning and progress 
• Provide written feedback on children’s learning through electronic individual portfolios
• Organise resources effectively before and after school sessions
• Support children's developing independance, including self-care
• Assist with other administrative duties as required

Requirements:

• Enthusiastic and willing to give full support to the teaching team
• Experience working with young children and enjoy working in a play-based environment
• Qualifications in early childhood education / HK teacher registration / child care worker certificate are essential.
• Experience working with two year old children in a pre-nursery setting will be an advantage
• Competency in using digital technologies to support learning and aid communications is preferred
