Job Description
Korean international school is looking for a flexible and adaptable full-time Chinese teacher to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design Chinese courses suitable for pupils of different levels
- Cooperate with other teachers to discuss how to improve the teaching level and provide pupils with better teaching quality
- Plan Chinese related cultural activities to facilitate the learning of the language
- Select relevant resources and digital tools to support and enhance Chinese learning
- Develop appropriate assessment tasks, providing timely and effective feedback that enhances pupil’s Chinese learning
- Bachelor degree in education or bachelor degree in any subjects with PGDE or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at an international school is desirable
- Native Mandarin Chinese speaker
- Knowledge of English is a pre-requisite
- Active and enthusiastic in work and respond to pupils
- Genuine interest in teaching children with different cultural backgrounds
- Excellent inter-personal skills with pupils, teachers, and parents
- Excellent administrative, organisational, and developed IT skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of successful and innovative teaching and the latest curriculum developments and initiatives
- A team player and a reflective and flexible approach

Korean International School (KIS) is an international school in Hong Kong that offers a through-train British curriculum, English medium education from Reception to 6th Form for English Speaking Community in Hong Kong. KIS is an active member of the Cambridge International Curriculum Programme which provides us with teaching materials and support for all levels.
KIS’s origin can be traced back to Saturday School, started in 1960 with just 6 students to provide for the needs of Korean community in Hong Kong. An increasingly larger community’s needs
and support from Korean government was instrumental in securing and establishing KIS at Sai Wan Ho and today, we are indeed proud to serve KIS which not only cater for Korean community’s needs, but also welcome an international body of students from over 25
