Job Description

We are looking for a self-driven HSEQ professional to join Planning & Resources Branch of Transmission Department. Reporting to Principal Manager – Planning & Resources and working closely with PSBG HSEQ Business Delivery Team, the appointee’s major duties are as follows:
  • Provide specialist advice and support to all line branches in the department in compliance with applicable OSH legislations, the Company’s code of practices and power systems requirements
  • Develop and implement HSEQ and management systems and action plans to line branches; ensure the implementation of HSEQ management systems in related contractor companies
  • Conduct and monitor HSEQ audit, and inspection with references to statutory requirements as well as pre-determined policies and programmes
  • Formulate annual HSEQ Plan, targets, and objectives
  • Lead cross-functional workgroups to assess potential HSEQ hazards, administrative irregularity and monitor the implementation of corrective actions
  • Facilitate the compilation of the Department’s business plan on HSEQ to tie in with BG strategies, targets, and policies
  • Provide HSEQ information with both quantitative and qualitative assessments for Management’s decision support
  • Identify and recommend changes to HSEQ procedures and systems
  • Liaise with relevant parties on all HSEQ matters and provide professional advice to Branch Managers
  • Formulate and monitor training needs on HSEQ aspects of all staff and contractors
  • Perform Registered Safety Officer duties according to the statutory requirements
Requirements:
  • A recognized University degree in Engineering or Health, Safety, Environment & Quality related discipline or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in occupational safety, health, environment & quality aspects
  • Registered Safety Officer in HKSAR
  • MHKIE or CMIOSH or equivalent will be preferable
  • Mindful and possess good safety awareness and track record
  • Familiar with all relevant HSEQ related legislations and codes of practices
  • Good knowledge of CLPP Safety Rules, HSEQ systems, programs and standards
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong sense of responsibility with good interpersonal and communication skills
