The IBM Lab Services organization is looking for a senior IT Management Consultant with expertise in Linux, Hybrid Cloud, Containers, Middleware & DevOps architectural methods technology and products to lead and deliver post-sales client engagements that enable the adoption of IBM Linux.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated a successful history of implementing solutions, and be capable to architect, implement, and assess independently Power, Linux, with 1 or more topics including: DB2 or Oracle, SAP HANA, OpenShift, Middleware, Automation, Open-Source Software. The candidates should be able to independently assess IT infrastructures, evaluate gaps in best practices and create solution recommendations for client environments while displaying excellent collaboration and communication with Clients, Sellers, Business Partners and Colleagues by delivering reports to clients.

You will work with customers and IBM Sales and Business Partners to position, scope, and delivery of IBM Linux. Candidates must possess a strong background in executive consulting and be capable to deliver independently in IBM Linux, with 1 or more domain listed in the required skills portfolio.

Ÿ   Private & Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure: Linux or Cloud Management Console

Ÿ   Containerization Technology: OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Serverless Functions

Ÿ   Databases: DB2 or Oracle, SAP HANA or MariaDB

Ÿ   Automation: Terraform, Cloudform or Ansible/Ansible Tower

Ÿ   High Availability: VMRecovery Manager, or LinuxHA

Ÿ   Middleware: WebSphere App Server and IBM MQ HA architecture, performance tuning and implementation is a plus

Required Skills

6+ years’ experience working with one or more topic listed below:

Ÿ   Degree holder in information technology, computer science or related discipline

Ÿ   Minimum 3 years working experience in Linux system administration

Ÿ   Solid knowledge in technical infrastructure environment and experience in system architecture design

Ÿ   Hands-on experience with IBM Linux and middleware products such as WebSphere and IBM MQ

Ÿ   Experience in system performance monitoring and tuning

Ÿ   Experience in IBM, HDS, EMC or other storage vendor's mid-range and high-end storage is an added value

6+ years’ experience in:

Ÿ   Customer facing communications, requirements analysis, documentation, and report presentations

Ÿ   Project management and the ability to collaborate across teams globally

Ÿ   Ability to lead customer technical workshops up to 20+ people

Ÿ   Candidate should be self-organized, eager to learn with strong sense of analysis & troubleshooting skills

Ÿ   Self-motivated, and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Ÿ   Good interpersonal and communication skill with a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English, knowledge of Mandarin is preferred
