Job Description

Key Responsibilities

The ICT Officer reports to the Senior ICT Officer and the Director of Business Services. The successful applicant is responsible for the effective operation of the ICT function of the school.

The ICT Officer will:

  • Provide day-to-day IT support to staff members, students and parents of the school, e.g. troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose, resolve hardware or software faults, software installation;
  • Provide administrative support for the ICT team, e.g. asset tracking & reporting, etc;
  • Assist supervisor in handling ad hoc project and operations related matters, e.g. coordinate with contractors for the repair and maintenance work and follow-up on progress;
  • has an opportunity to explore and support audiovisuals.
Professional Expectations

The ICT Officer will :

  • Have higher Diploma or above in Information Technology or related discipline;
  • Have 2-3 years relevant working experience, preferably in Education Sector;
  • Have knowledge of handling AV and Lighting equipments;
  • Have hands on experiences on IT Infrastructure such as switches and firewall;
  • Have knowledge of MacOS X, iOS, and Windows Operating System. Linux familiarity is an advantage;
  • Demonstrate experience in backup application, VMware ESXi and Microsoft server;
  • Knowledge of cloud platform such as google G-suite and Microsoft O365;
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team;
  • Be able to speak fair English and fluent Cantonese.

  • Attend regular in-house child protection and safeguarding programmes and sign a Code of Conduct;
  • Play a leading role in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all students in the school;
  • Report to the Designated or Deputy Safeguarding Lead any concerns they have for the welfare of a student;
  • Report to the Designated or Deputy Safeguarding Lead any unsafe practices witnessed within the school as outlined in The School’s Speak Out Policy;
  • Keep professional relationships with students where personal boundaries are respected and maintained.
Requirements
  • Permanent Hong Kong residents or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong;
  • Satisfactory criminal record check before the start of the contract;
  • 2 signed, confidential references before the start of the contract;
  • Verification of original qualifications and work experience.
