Job Description Summary

To act as a business partner with assigned intermediaries in order to profitably grow the business and meet sales and growth targets.

 Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of sales and growth strategies and objectives with key intermediaries
  • Initiate, facilitate and capitalize on change and innovations, such as new technologies and customer relationship management processes
  • Ensure team accreditation levels and compliance requirements are adhered to encourage technical expertise and development across all teams
  • Establish and develop relationships and promote company image at a senior level with key clients and intermediaries
  • Represent QBE’s interests, as requested, with internal and external groups, and through participation in industry forums and corporate activity
  • Review existing portfolios and recommend strategies for increased growth
  • Effective servicing and development of the existing client base and growth of new business
  • Motivate and develop the team by demonstrating good leadership behaviors and through the use of management best practice, to enable development of staff to support the achievement of business goals
  • Gather market intelligence to facilitate decision making


Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience within customer service/sales environment (more experienced candidates may be consider to be Senior Specialist)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Ability to delivery on agreed targets
  • Sales ability and technique
  • Customer service and relationship building skills
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance sales/business development function is a plus
