Job Description

This position is responsible for maintaining, operating all hard services within HKEX premises at Exchange Square, including MVAC system, Fire Services system, Plumbing & Drainage system, Electrical system and AV system.

Reporting to the Vice President of Office Facilities and Projects, candidate shall be proactive with strong stakeholder management skills, risk awareness mindset and a track record of process improvement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day functions of the team to deliver excellent facilities management in HKEX premises in Exchange Square, Central
  • Maintaining and operating all aspect of hard services within HKEX premises, including MVAC system, Fire Services system, Electrical system, Plumbing & Drainage system and AV system
  • Leading a team of outsourced technicians and maintenance contractors in carrying out day to day operation and preventative/corrective maintenance to ensure safe, reliable and energy efficient operation of all office premises
  • Lead major works including power down planning, execution and new /refurbishment project management for critical equipment, lifecycle management and replacement
  • Incident management support including 24/7 on call for incident management
  • Review and improve service operation procedure (SOP) on a regular basis
  • Prepare annual budget and perform budget control
  • Act as an in-house building services expert
  • Act as a Project Manager in relation to renovation / improvement projects. Attend project / site progress meetings, and ensure timely completion of projects within an approved budget.
  • Review and evaluate proposals provided by external service providers and provide recommendation
  • Ensure compliance of health and safety at work to be performed appropriately by in-house and/ or outsourced resources, and also ensure compliance with the related statutory regulation
  • Prepare regular reports, operation proposal or plans for management to review and approval  
  • Managing performance of vendors and contractors according to Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators

Job Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Building Services or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years related work experience, at least 5 years’ experience at supervisory level
  • Preferable a member of relevant professional organizations, non-member of relevant professional organizations will also be considered
  • Good written, verbal and presentation skills with strong ability to communicate in English
  • Strong leadership, well organized and excellent stakeholder management
  • Strong sense of ownership, business risk, compliance and efficiency improvement
  • Strong vendor management experience
