Job Description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is a statutory body established by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2008, responsible for developing the West Kowloon Cultural District.

 
Job title: House Supervisor, Cinema

Department: M+ Curatorial Department / Moving Image Team

Duration: 12 months (subject to renew)

Location: M+ Museum


The M+ Cinema is a multi-screen specialized cinema located within M+, Moving Image Centre. With three houses (180, 60, and 40 seats projection capabilities, the Cinemas offer a rich variety of weekly screenings) and both digital and analogue, talks, performances, and events that explore, question, and celebrate all facets of cinema and screen-based moving image.
 

To ensure the M+ Cinema and Moving Image Centre provides an excellent movie experience to our audiences, we are now looking for House Supervisor, Cinema to support daily operations issue of the venue, ensuring the highest standards of cinema exhibition and event presentation.

You will be responsible for:

  • providing a good customers service and handling all customers complaints and inquiry;
  • handling operation and facilities management, basic maintenance for the facilities and monitoring on the repair and maintenance work;
  • handling staff roster and show-time scheduling and monitoring staff performance and staff coaching;
  • support all special Screening / Event and performing crowd management and control in large scale venue;
  • preparing of Monthly, Weekly and Daily reports;
  • following institutional health and safety guidelines and institutional uniform standards and guideline;
  • attending service and facilities training; and
  • supporting other ad hoc tasks if required.

You should:

  • possess a recognised higher diploma or above;
  • have least 2-3 years manage experience in operation related business;
  • possess approachable personality, cheerful, proactive, customer-oriented and detail-minded mindset;
  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and cooperatively with others;
  • be prepared to require working on weekend and public holiday and occasional evening works according to the duty roster assigned;
  • enjoy working as a TEAM;
  • be proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint; and
  • have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
